UNDER GRADUATE PROGRAMME:
BACHELOR OF ARCHITECTURE (B.Arch.)
- No candidate shall be admitted to architecture program unless she/ he has passed:
An examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with 50% marks in aggregate
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2
level examination.
OR - 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject, with at least
50% marks in aggregate.
OR - In addition to the above, the candidate needs to qualify an Aptitude Test in Architecture conducted by the Council or by the competent authority of the Central Government or the respective State Government, complying with the Admission Norms
Mode of Admission: Aptitude Test
- National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA) conducted by ‘Council of Architecture’ through academic unit ‘National Institute of Advanced studies in Architecture’ (NIASA) with Min 40% (as per prevalent NATA regulation)
Criteria for selection
Merit shall be determined on the basis of candidates’ performance in the qualifying Examination and Aptitude Test. The Weigthtage shall be as follows:-
- 50% for qualifying Exam
- 50% for Aptitude Test -NATA

Course Duration
- 10 Semesters i.e. 5years.
Bachelor of Planning (B.Plan)
- In a country where urbanization has been on a steady rise since independence, and escalated significantly in recent years; planning professionals need to be trained in handling the complexity of problems arise with urbanization. With the growing need to improve quality of life of cities, the need for qualified planners at all levels has increased significantly.
- The B. Plan. course is an endeavour to bridge the gap of planning professionals required in the country. It is a 4 years programme and is recognised by Institute of Town Planners India.
Eligibility
- 1) The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate.
MASTER OF ARCHITECTURE-URBAN DESIGN (M.Arch.)
Eligibility for Admission: Qualifying exam
- B.Arch and any other equivalent as per COA with Minimum 50% aggregate for all categories including OBC, SC and ST
OR
- Dip in Architecture (equivalent to B.Arch - 5 yrs course - recognized by Council of Architecture )

M.Tech in Urban and Regional Planning (M.Tech URP)

The M.Tech in Urban and Regional Planning programme is designed to prepare students the skills of analyzing the physical, social, cultural, economic and ecological dimensions of urban settlements, comprehending their problems, and evolving measures to address the issues and emerging challenges in a planned manner. The two year postgraduate programme at the school aims to produce professional planners who are equipped to assist communities, organizations and policymakers in addressing the present day problems of settlements and developing new ways of improving cities and regions.
Eligibility
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering/Architecture/Physical Planning /AMIE Grade-IA/Master Degree in Geography/Economics/Sociology/Sponsored/deputed Candidates from Government/Semi-Government /Quasi Government/College/Department teachers sponsored from Engineering Colleges with any one of the above said qualifications with a minimum of 2 years of working experience are also eligible for admission under the quota reserved for them.
